The new beer meter, fully approved by
the National Weights and Measures
Laboratory for use in trade, incorporates
microprocessor control circuits to not
only control the amount of liquid
dispensed but also automatically measure
the speed of dispense.

The actual installation only needs the
meter clamped to the bar, a pipe
connecting the beer supply, a mechanical
or electrical fob detetctor to prevent gas
entering the beer line and a 24V A.C.
power supply which can be supplied by
the Meterman under bar transformer.

With an extremely low pressure drop
across the turbine the beer can be driven
by simple Co2 top pressure, mixed gas
or where longer runs are required by gas
or electrically operated pumps.

The Meterman is also available in a
larger box incorporating a built in counter for stock control and a free flow version
stock controller for keg beers.

Selft Service Option

In addition to the normal applications
of the Meterman technology Hallamshire
also manufacture a self-service,
computerised system for VIP tables
in sports bars, comedy and gentleman’s
clubs. The system is designed around a
programmable logic controller (PLC)
and interfaces between the Meterman
meter and a computer running a
windows compatible software programme.
Payment is made for the table drinks
in advance. As the customers serve
themselves the computer counts down
the drinks, automatically shutting
down the tap when the pre paid number
of drinks has been consumed.
The self-serve system adds a new
dimension to a night out and
eliminates the need for queuing at the bar.
